About my Blog

There is nothing better in life than sitting down to write, with some music playing in the background, and maybe a bowl of ice cream in your lap. I'm only 21, but I know what I want in life, and that's to write. This blog is the story of my journey to publication. I know I'll get there some day.

Bookish Saturday (3)

I am very excited to announce that I finished Forever last night. I'll be honest, I was horribly afraid to get to the end, and this is why: I have a terrible disorder that causes me to skim the last page of most novels. Now, here's a little tip that can help you beat this disorder: reading the last page can sometimes (all the time) completely mislead you. This one included. Thanks to my disorder, I had prepared myself for the saddest, most heartbreaking end. But I got just the opposite. The end was beautiful in every way. I sincerely recommend the entire series. OH! But, um, if anyone can explain chapter 58 to me, I would really appreciate it, because I have no clue what happened!

Anyway, so onto this week. This week is very exciting (much like last week), because this week, I'm reading Sisterhood Everlasting! It's all very exciting, because I have been waiting for this moment, not only since the book came out, but since the last book in the series, Forever in Blue, came out. You see, there was a certain story line that was left wide open, and I didn't appreciate it (to say the least), so I'm very happy to see what happened.

However, that's not the only book I'm reading this Saturday. I'm also working on a book calledCeremony, by Leslie Marmon Silko. I don't know if you've read it, and to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about it myself. I like it, but I don't like it all at the same time. I'm reading it for my Contemporary American Lit class, and I just can't decide on this one. I'll let you know what I think when I'm finished.

Happy reading this week!

xoxo,
Vicky B
