I'm Back!

For good this time, too. We're going to pretend like I didn't horribly fail my last challenge and abandon my blog so that I could focus on NaNoWriMo and school, although it ended up being for the better, since I managed to get a 4.0 for the semester! But that's besides the point :) I'm back, and I plan to revamp a little bit (but just a little bit). You see, 2012 is the year of publication, and before you laugh, I don't mean any of my many novels, which are still eagerly waiting to be represented by a publisher who can sell my work to HarperCollins.

No, what I mean by the year of publication is, this is my year to get experience in the industry. I'm going to perfect my work in short stories, poetry, and maybe even non-fiction articles, and try to get them published so that I can have a bit of a platform for my work. I also have a Facebook page, and I'm hoping to actually maintain it this year.

I guess all of this stems from the fact that it seems like all of my writing buds hit it big in 2010 and 2011. Two of them got published, one got an agent, and one is self-publishing some time in the near future. I think my work is in a really awesome place right now, and if I can just focus on it, I can get representation for my novel before I graduate in 2013. So, that's the plan, and I'm going to need this blog to do it. I'm hoping to get back into posting a few times a week, with interests and book talk, and I'm counting on my fantastic readers to stick in there and recommend me!
